Risk-based controls
Trade compliance
Last updated: 11 August 2026
Our approach
OLCF applies risk-based checks before accepting transactions. The level of review depends on the goods, parties, jurisdictions, routing, stated end use and other risk indicators. A commercial enquiry may be declined or paused where the required information cannot be obtained or the risk cannot be managed.
Transaction screening
- customer, supplier and other relevant counterparty screening;
- goods classification and export-control review where applicable;
- destination, routing, consignee and end-user assessment;
- stated end-use review and escalation of unusual or inconsistent information;
- document and record retention appropriate to the transaction.
Information we may request
Depending on the case, OLCF may request corporate documents, ownership and control information, product specifications, intended end use, end-user details, destination, delivery route, licences, certificates or an end-use statement.
No automatic acceptance
Receipt of an enquiry does not create an obligation to quote, supply or enter into a contract. Availability, commercial terms and compliance approval are confirmed separately for each transaction.
